Why is pumpkin good for you?
Eating pumpkin is good for your heart. Pumpkin contains tons of fibre, potassium, and vitamin C – all of which support heart health. Studies suggest that consuming enough potassium may be almost as important as decreasing sodium intake for the treatment of hypertension, or high blood pressure. So why not dive into some of this gourdy goodness?!
How to add pumpkin to your diet:
There are so many ways to at pumpkin and I love all of them. Baking is definitely my favourite and I’ve included some links below to a few of my favourite recipes. I prefer to roast my own pumpkin to make the purée, rather than buy it in a can. I find the flavour to be a lot nicer. Honestly, making pumpkin purée isn’t as hard as you think it is.
